Tutoring begins with a conversation, and a conversation begins with trust. This page explains what information is collected when you inquire, why it is needed, and how it is handled.
Information I Collect
When you submit the consultation form, I receive the name, email address, grade level, and message you choose to provide. If you contact me by phone or email instead, I keep a record of that correspondence.
Once tutoring begins, I may also hold scheduling details, session notes, and the names of the student and the parent or guardian.
I do not collect or store payment card numbers. Any payment is handled by the payment processor used for invoicing.
How Information Is Used
- —To respond to inquiries and arrange an initial consultation.
- —To plan and deliver tutoring sessions.
- —To send scheduling confirmations, invoices, and occasional notes about availability.
- —To keep the business records a tutoring practice is required to maintain.
Students and Minors
The practice serves students under the age of eighteen. Inquiries are submitted by a parent or guardian, and information about a student is shared with that adult's consent. No account or online profile is created for a student, and no information about a student is used for marketing.
Sharing
Personal information is not sold, rented, or traded. It is shared only in the narrow circumstances below.
- —With the services that host this website and deliver email on my behalf, which are permitted to use it only to provide those services.
- —With professional advisors such as an accountant, where necessary to run the practice.
- —Where required by law, or where necessary to protect someone's safety.
Cookies and Tracking
This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The platform that hosts the site may set cookies that are strictly necessary for it to function and to keep it secure.
Keeping Information Safe
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used to protect the information families share. Email is not a perfectly secure channel, so please avoid sending sensitive documents such as identification, medical records, or full reports through ordinary email.
How Long Information Is Kept
Inquiry records for families who do not go on to book sessions are kept for up to two years and then deleted. Records relating to tutoring are kept while the work is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to satisfy tax and business obligations, then deleted.
Your Choices
You may ask to see the information held about you or your student, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted. A parent or guardian may make these requests on behalf of a minor. Requests are answered within thirty days. Some records may need to be retained where the law requires it.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
